While at the pub the other day with some friends I decided to lay down a stiff bet to help spruce up the England vs South Africa (2nd Test) match. I do not recommend nor indorse betting while tipping a few back but on this occasion I felt it had to be done – When in Rome. Determining which book to use was easy since wcb recently began working with Betfair so why not give their mobile a lash.
With Blurry vision I squinted my way to mobile.betfair.com and went through the painstaking task of registering an account. After numerous attempts to have my passwords matching and email address correct I headed over to my gmail account to confirm my registration – Success! Now comes making the deposit and at this point shots have been ordered and my mind foggier, so putting in my credit card info is not going to happen – let’s go with the ewallet moneybookers (skrill). Using the cashier was rather easy considering my state as it quickly connected me to my moneybookers account. All I had to do was remember my moneybookers password and WHAM! $50 deposited into my mobile account – 30 minutes later I might add. Now it was time to determine a winner as I asked around the table to see if any of my friends had any insightful wisdom on perhaps top batsman, series score, top series wicket taker all I got was mumbled drivel from a table full of drunks – looks like I am on my own. I threw caution into the wind or was it the fact that I had to use the john and put $50 on England First Inning lead at 1.92. With my bet in tact and my mind spinning I decided to put down the mobile so no further damage could be done and continue polluting myself with demon alcohol.
My overall impression with betfair mobile was good due to betfair offering a plethora of cricket lines (more lines action than many popular books). Considering the state I was in the process of registering and depositing was rather easy. The fact that my large meat paws was able to use the touch pad and register/deposit/bet while twelve beers deep is sign that betfair mobile is very user friendly even if it took 30 minutes. So next time you are at a pub and have to make a bet I suggest you try betfair mobile – Stumbling drunken mobile friendly book!
